Overview
About DASES

The Database of Alternative Splicing for Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma (DASES) is a comprehensive resource for functional annotation of alternative splicing events (ASEs) in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma (ESCC). With a lack of systematic and intensive annotations of ESCC-associated ASEs, DASES aims to bridge this knowledge gap. We have collected 347 samples from 185 distinct ESCC patients in publicly available ESCC RNA-seq datasets and our own extensive total RNA-seq data from West China Hospital of Sichuan University. Through rigorous functional annotations, including ASE transcript assignments, assessment of protein domain impacts, and analysis of gene expression patterns, DASES provides detailed information on each ASE, including read counts of isoforms, percent spliced in values for each sample. This unique and comprehensive resource will greatly facilitate ESCC research, allowing researchers to explore tumor heterogeneity at the RNA level and drive new discoveries in the field.
